When each appointment has to be negotiated, the weeks you least want to go are the weeks that get skipped — and those are frequently the weeks that matter most.

A regular time takes the decision out of it. The hour is already yours, the same day, the same time, held rather than competed for. Therapists work this way for a reason: continuity is part of the method, not an administrative convenience.

It should still be easy to miss one week, pause for a holiday, or stop altogether. Protected is not the same as trapped.
