Enquiries that go somewhere

Because your availability is confirmed rather than guessed, the people who contact you can already see you have space. Fewer messages you have to turn down.

Income you can plan around

A protected weekly time means a client keeps the same hour until your work together ends — so your Tuesday afternoon is not something you rebuild every month.

No pay-to-rank, ever

Ordering is fit, genuine availability and distance. Sponsored profiles are labelled and never lifted above better matches.

You keep clinical control

Your fees, your concessions, who you do and do not work with, your cancellation policy. We handle scheduling and payment, not your practice.

How joining works

1
Apply and get verified

Send ID, qualifications, register membership and indemnity insurance. Most applications are checked within two working days.

2
Set your working hours

Mark which hours are for ongoing weekly work, one-off sessions or introductions. Buffers are added automatically and never shown as bookable.

3
Receive enquiries with context

Each request arrives with the time wanted, format, and a short note. Accept into your diary or decline — clients get an acknowledgement either way.

4
Keep the client, keep the hour

After a first session you both confirm the fit and the time becomes protected. Skip a week, pause for a holiday or release it whenever you need to.

What we check

  • Photo ID checked against a live selfie
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Membership of BACP, UKCP, NCPS, BABCP — or HCPC registration for practitioner psychologists
  • Qualification certificates
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Practice address, if you see clients in person
  • A DBS check only where your work requires one

What stays in your control

  • Your fees, and how many concessionary places you offer
  • Your cancellation notice and charges
  • Which formats and locations you work in
  • Whether new clients book instantly or by request
  • When you stop taking new clients — without leaving the directory

Common questions

Do I need to be accredited, or is registered enough?
Registered is enough, as long as it is with an accredited voluntary register. We show your exact status — registered or accredited — and never describe anyone as licensed, because counsellor and psychotherapist are not protected titles in the UK.
What happens if my membership lapses?
Your badge is removed automatically and your profile is hidden from search until it is renewed. We check registers monthly and email you before expiry.
Am I committing to weekly clients indefinitely?
No. A first session commits neither of you. The weekly time only becomes protected when you both agree it fits, and either of you can end it with the notice period you set.
Can I take one-off sessions as well?
Yes. Each working hour can be marked as available for ongoing work, one-off only, or introductions — so you can keep some flexibility without opening your whole diary to it.
Do you see my session notes?
No. Clinical records stay with you, in your own system. We hold scheduling, contact and payment information only, and you can export or delete it.
Will I be undercut by cheaper therapists?
Clients filter on far more than fee — format, times, areas of experience, accessibility, insurers. There are no star ratings and no bidding for position.
