“Offering a space to make sense of your lived experience and find a way forward.”
How I work
I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist offering a considered and non-judgmental space to explore what’s going on for you. People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be struggling with loss or addiction, experiencing difficulties in your relationships, feeling stuck or overwhelmed, or simply have a sense that something in your life isn’t quite right. Whatever brings you to therapy, I offer a space where you can make sense of your experiences and begin to find a way forward. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. My aim is to create a relationship where you feel safe enough to be open, curious and honest about yourself, without fear of judgement.
I’m a psychodynamic psychotherapist, with a specialism in attachment theory. I’m interested in understanding what lies beneath the surface of our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and how our earlier experiences and relationships can shape the ways we see ourselves and relate to others. We can all develop patterns of thinking, feeling and relating that once helped us cope, but which may no longer serve us. Therapy can provide an opportunity to understand these patterns and consider different ways of being. I also pay attention to the relationship we develop in therapy. What happens between us can sometimes offer important insights into how you experience relationships more broadly, providing an opportunity to explore these patterns in a safe and supportive environment. I work collaboratively and adapt therapy to the individual. Sometimes this means focusing on a particular difficulty or period of crisis; at other times, it may involve deeper, longer-term exploration. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and find your own way forward.

This counsellor tells us they're registered with BACP. We haven't verified it yet — until we do, please check the entry yourself on the BACP register. Counsellor and psychotherapist are not protected titles in the UK, so register membership is the meaningful check.
How verification worksVerification status
Checks not done yetWe check documents, not clinical practice. “Counsellor” and “psychotherapist” are not protected titles in the UK, so we verify membership of an accredited voluntary register (such as BACP, UKCP, NCPS, BABCP or BPC — or HCPC/BPS for psychologists) rather than a state licence. Badges are removed automatically if a registration lapses.
